Latest update 11/10 18:03 pm BST:Stock is holding strong at all of the retailers we saw stocking the PS5 Pro yesterday. You can pre-order the PS5 Pro pretty easily right now, but that doesn’t mean stock will last forever. There’s still a while before launch day, and that gives people plenty of time to slowly drain each retailer of their supply. For now, we’ve done another pass at all the retailers in the US and UK to ensure you know where to look first.
US pre-ordersUK pre-orders
The PS5 Pro, for all its $699.99 / $699.99 goodness, doesn’t come with a disc drive - you’ll need to grab that separately. The original drive still works for the Pro, though, and you’ll find it below.
US:$79.99 at Best Buy
UK:£99.99 at Currys
You can now pre-order the PS5 Pro from a wide range of retailers in the US and UK. Stock has seemed pretty stable, both in the initial batch from PlayStation Direct and on the first day of participating sellers opening up their doors. The demand for the 30th Anniversary collection is much higher, so we might see those sell out, and then the PS5 Pro garner more interest. Either way, we’re keeping tabs on the stock levels for you.
As you’ve likely heard by now, thePS5 Procosts $699.99 / £699.99 and will launch on November 7, 2024. PlayStation hardware launches can sell out extremely quickly, so even despite the higher price here, we would recommend you make a buying decision sooner rather than later if you want a console come launch day. We were there all those years ago when those first early PS5 orders started kicking off around the web, and we’ve been covering the resulting stock shortages for around a year after release day. That means we know a thing or two aboutSony’s queue system, hunting down stock, and making sure you pay a fair price.
Of course,PlayStation 30th Anniversary pre-ordersare also back in the spotlight and seem much more highly coveted. With retailers releasing stock of those bits of PlayStation hardware in waves at the moment, the PS5 Pro is the easier option to buy. As stock levels fall and rise, or if we notice any special bundles and offers from retailers that want to get scrappy, we’ll be letting you know down below.
US PS5 Pro pre-orders
✅ Walmart |Pre-order now
Walmart is leading the charge in the US. You’ll need to join a queue to secure yourself a unit, but this retailer is the first in the US to open up stock.
✅ Amazon |Pre-order now
Amazon tried to hide this link from us, but we got it. You can pre-order the PS5 Pro from Amazon in the US now, and it seems like there are some trade-in and save options.
✅ Best Buy |Pre-order nowBest Buy has a listing for the PS5 Pro! The pre-order button on the retail page has now turned yellow, so you’re free to purchase without joining a queue.
✅ Target |Pre-order now
Target is getting in on the fun as well, and its pre-order page is now live. With loads of shops spread throughout the US, this might be a good local destination to hunt for stock in your area.
✅ Gamestop |Pre-order now
GameStop’s link seemed to change as it went live, but the pre-order button is available now, so you’re free to get over there and grab yourself a PS5 Pro.
❌ PlayStation Direct |Check Stock
Sony’s own PlayStation Direct store has been the place to get a PS5 Pro so far, but right now it says the console is “currently unavailable”. With pre-orders about to open up to other retailers, it looks like Sony’s own supply finally dried up.
UK PS5 Pro pre-orders
✅Currys |Pre-order now
Pre-orders are now live at Currys, meaning you can grab yourself a new PS5 Pro with plenty of payment plans and options to spread its cost.
✅ Amazon |Pre-order now
Amazon has joined the party and is listing the PS5 Pro for its MSRP of £699.99. If you’re a Prime member, you’ll probably benefit from free shipping here, so that could be a better option. Keep in mind that since Amazon is the world’s largest retailer, it usually has a larger stock take than a lot of other places. For that reason, this may be a safer bet when stock gets more limited.
✅Argos |Pre-order now
Argos has stock right now, and it’s offering free delivery (almost definitely on launch day). This was one of the first retailers in the UK to set their stock to live so jump in while there’s still time.
✅ PlayStation Direct |Pre-order now
The PS5 Pro is still available for pre-order at PlayStation Direct in the UK. You’ll need to sign in to buy one, but there doesn’t even seem to be a queue or any indication of stock shortages yet.
Very |Check stock
Very is a super underrated retailer when it comes to gaming hardware. Pre-orders usually go unnoticed by the majority here, and often we see some lovely discounts and freebies thrown in. This isverymuch worth a look for PS5 pre-orders.
GAME |Check stock
GAME can be a bit harder to navigate online, but big launches like this help to keep the brand in business, so it’s hard to believe it won’t have some PS5 Pro pre-orders ready to be claimed.
PS5 Pro pre-orders: FAQs
Where can I pre-order the PS5 Pro?
PS5 Pro pre-orders are exclusive to the PlayStation Direct store in the US and UK for the first week. For a full list of retailers that will be available to pre-order from October 10 onwards, check out our list of go-to retailers that will give you the best deals.
Can you preorder the PS5 Pro?
The PS5 Pro is available for pre-order now and will be until its launch on November 7. Like all PlayStation consoles before it, it could be so popular that stock runs out before then, but with this particular console being on the pricier side, it’s less likely that will happen. In 2020, we saw the initial pre-order stock of the PS5 run out before release, but that was mainly due to supply issues during the global pandemic.
How do I pre-order a PS5 Pro?
Pre-ordering a PS5 is pretty easy, so far. For the time being, you need to head to the PlayStation Direct store and sign in. From there, you’ll need to go to the retail page for the PS5 Pro, then look for a buying button. If it’s greyed out and says that stock isn’t available, you’ll need to keep an eye out for a stock refresh. At the moment, stock is holding firm, and all you’ll need to do is add a PS5 Pre-order to your card, then checkout.
Once October 10 hits, there will be more retailers stocking the PS5 Pro, so it might get a bit more complicated. Still, that’s why we’re here to help and we’ll be checking for the best suppliers and deals.

Ever since playing Journey at the age of 15, I’ve been desperate to cover video games for a living. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship over at Expert Reviews. Besides that, I’ve been managing my ownYouTube channeland Podcast for the last 7 years. It’s been a long road, but all that experience somehow landed me a dream job covering gaming hardware. I’m a self-confessing PlayStation fanboy, but my experience covering the larger business and developer side of the whole industry has given me a strong knowledge of all platforms. When I’m not testing out every peripheral I can get my hands on, I’m probably either playing tennis or dissecting game design for an upcoming video essay. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension.Location: UK Remote
