Fortnite Season 4 has brought some nice changes to Chapter 5 with all sorts of Marvel weapons and a Doctor Doom takeover. “Absolute Doom” isn’t the most expansive season inFortnite’s history, mainly adding some new features to the map, such as new villainous bosses, as well as new and returning fan-favorite superhero weapons. The usual array of quests and accolades to help you learn the ropes and steam through the new battle pass are also present, though there might be more to come with this significant Marvel crossover. For now, these are the biggest changes to Fortnite in Season 4

Doctor Doom has taken over several areas of the island in Fortnite Season 4

Using the power of Pandora’s Box, Doctor Doom has been forcibly merging the Fortnite island with his Latverian territory, giving rise to three new POIs: Castle Doom, Doomstadt, and The Raft, all of which are unique environments to explore and battle in, with loot hidden all over the place. Discovering all three of these places will also complete one of the Season 4 KickstartFortnite quests.

Castle Doom is a colossal fortress for the Doctor himself, with vast halls, narrow corridors, and cover-filled ramparts, offering plenty of places to skirmish. On the other hand, Doomstadt is a more traditional Fortnite location, containing many smaller buildings spread evenly across a large area, capable of accommodating lots of loot and lots of players fighting over it in chaotic fashion. Lastly, while the Raft isn’t from Latveria itself, Doom has brought it to the island as a way to free and recruit other villains and gain another maximum-security stronghold.

Marvel villains patrol these new POIs

With the Raft’s inmates gone, some have joined Doom’s cause and can be found as world bosses at the above POIs, each offering their own special weapons and powerfulFortnite Medallions. The bosses, their locations, and their loot are as follows:

Of course, there are plenty of less hostileFortnite charactersto find across the island, with new additions including War Machine and Peelverine.

There are some stupidly powerful Marvel weapons up for grabs

While the above bosses all pack a punch with their respective weapons, there are several new and very notableFortnite weaponsin Season 4. Captain America’s shield makes a triumphant return after collecting dust in the vaults since the Avengers Endgame event and it’s been updated to fit all the new movement techniques, and Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets are also back.

There are also three bits of War Machine gear – an Auto Turret, Hover Jets, and the Arsenal which is a combination of dual SMGs with rocket launchers – which are all incredibly powerful or useful to have. Finally, Gwenpool’s Dual Micro SMGs can be scavenged for some close-range firepower, letting spew bullets at an astonishing rate.

More Disney and Marvel additions could be coming later

Following the most recentFortnite live event, we now know about a number ofDisney-related additions that will be coming to the game soon. The Incredibles, plus Disney Villains including Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and Captain Hook, will all be coming to Fortnite in ‘Fall 2024’. There will also be a Deadpool-styled Fishsticks skin arriving, namedFishpool, but it’s not clear yet clear how this will be available in the game.
