Having to choose between Eleera or Gorak in Star Wars Outlaws is one of the first big choices to make, after it’s revealed that Tizlak, a Pyke traitor, is secretly working for Governor Thorden.
Star Wars Outlaws is actually using this to tutorialize a larger concept, but it’s worth understanding the consequences of this choice initially, as it comes down to this: do you want the Pyke Syndicate or the Crimson Dawn to like you more? It might feel one sided initially, as you’ll have spent far more time dealing with Gorak at this point - from deciding whether or not to buy theStar Wars Outlaws VIP Suite Inviteto see him, through to the lengthy mission tosneak through the Pyke Districtto infiltrate his base - much of the opening hours are very Gorak-centric, as opposed to Eleera who rocks up at the end, all ‘hey pick me instead’.
We’ll cover the consequences of choosing between Gorak or Eleera in Star Wars Outlaws below, as well as what the best choice is.
Tell Eleera about the Pyke traitor or Gorak in Star Wars Outlaws?
When choosing to tell Eleera or Gorak about the Pyke traitor in Star Wars Outlaws, the answer depends on who you want more reputation with. At this stage it’s probably better to side with Crimson Dawnas this will boost your standing with them and let you enter their territory freely. Their merchants sell more useful gear in the early game as well, but it’s a very small difference.
This basically sets up the gameplay system ofStar Wars Outlaws factions and reputation, where your actions and choices affect how all the different criminal groups perceive you. Each faction has territory and merchants, and if you have a good rep with them you’ll be allowed to freely walk around their territory and get better deals and exclusive stock from their merchants. Hence picking Eleera and Crimson Dawn is better overall because fast tracks that access.
So, unlike something like the earlier (basically fake) decision tobluff or bribe the bouncer in Star Wars Outlaws, this is a real decision that has a consequence, albeit an open ended one that can go either way without affecting too much. You can immediately find jobs and missions that will let you rebuild any lost reputation with anyone. Of course, that goes both ways - you can just as easily lose good standing with whatever faction you choose inStar Wars Outlawsif you upset them.
